Dental Implant Cost in Guangzhou (2026 Guide)

Last updated: 2026-09-18

A single dental implant in the United States commonly costs US$3,000–5,000 including the abutment and crown. In the UK and Australia the range is similar. In Guangzhou, the same package typically runs ¥3,800–9,800 (roughly US$530–1,370) — a difference of 60–75%.

That gap is real, but it is also where most people get confused, because the word “implant” is used for three different things: the fixture that goes into the bone, the abutment that connects it to the crown, and the crown itself. Clinics quote all three, or only the first, and the difference is thousands of yuan.

This guide explains what is included, what drives the price, and how to plan a trip around it.

What is included in a “package”

Most Guangzhou clinics quote a package that covers:

  1. Consultation and imaging (X-ray or CBCT scan)
  2. The implant fixture
  3. The abutment
  4. The final crown
  5. A follow-up check before you fly home

Ask explicitly about each item. A quote of “¥3,800 per implant” that turns out to exclude the crown is not a cheap implant — it is an incomplete quote.

Indicative ranges

Treatment Guangzhou (est.) Typical US / UK / AU
Single implant + crown ¥3,800 – 9,800 US$3,000 – 5,000
All-on-4 (per arch) ¥55,000 – 110,000 US$20,000 – 30,000
Bone graft (per site) ¥1,500 – 6,000 US$500 – 2,000
Sinus lift (per side) ¥4,000 – 12,000 US$1,500 – 4,000
CBCT scan ¥300 – 800 US$150 – 500
Temporary tooth during healing ¥300 – 1,500 US$200 – 800

Prices are indicative ranges for planning. The final quote comes from the clinic after an examination, and it should be given to you in writing.

What drives the price

  1. The implant brand. Korean and domestic systems sit at the bottom of the range; Swiss and Swedish systems at the top. The fixture is a small part of the cost but the biggest single variable.
  2. Bone grafting. If the jaw has shrunk where the tooth was lost, grafting is usually quoted separately, and it adds healing time.
  3. How many implants. Full-arch work is quoted per arch, not per tooth, which is why the per-tooth figure looks so low.
  4. Whether a specialist does the work. A surgical specialist usually costs more than a general dentist — and is often worth it.
  5. The crown material. Zirconia costs more than porcelain-fused-to-metal and behaves differently in the mouth.
  6. Whether a temporary tooth is needed. Cosmetic concern in the front of the mouth, extra cost everywhere.

Timing: can it be done in one trip?

This is the question that decides your flight budget.

  1. Immediate-load cases can sometimes be completed in 5–7 days — the implant is placed and loaded straight away.
  2. Standard two-stage implants need the fixture to heal for 3–6 months before the crown goes on. That means two trips, or a second visit later.
  3. Grafted cases often start with the graft, wait for it to mature, then place the implant — three stages, spread over many months.

Ask the clinic for a written plan with stages and dates before you book flights. Any clinic that promises a two-stage implant finished in one week is either misdescribing the treatment or doing something you should ask more about.

What to ask before you agree

  • The brand and model of the fixture, abutment and crown, in writing.
  • Whether grafting is included, and what it costs if it turns out to be needed mid-treatment.
  • What the warranty covers, for how long, and what voids it.
  • What happens if the implant does not integrate — who pays for the replacement.
  • Whether the follow-up check is included and when it should happen.

What a good quote actually looks like

A serious clinic will give you something close to this, with prices against each line and a note on what is excluded:

Line item Example
CBCT scan and diagnosis ¥300 – 800
Implant fixture (brand named) included in package
Insertion surgery included in package
Healing abutment and cover screw included in package
Final abutment included in package
Zirconia crown included in package
Bone graft, if required ¥1,500 – 6,000 per site
Temporary tooth, if required ¥300 – 1,500
Follow-up check included
Warranty terms in writing, per clinic policy
Total per implant, straightforward case ¥3,800 – 9,800

If a quote arrives as one number with no brand and no exclusions, ask for it again in this shape. How a clinic responds to that request tells you more than the price does.

Deposits, staging and the awkward questions

Most clinics ask for a deposit to hold an appointment, then take the balance in stages as treatment is delivered. That is reasonable, but agree it in writing first:

  1. The deposit amount, and what it secures.
  2. Whether it is refundable, and under what conditions.
  3. What happens to the deposit if the plan changes after the examination.
  4. Who pays if the implant fails to integrate and has to be replaced.

You are allowed to ask all four. A clinic that finds them offensive is telling you something.

Practical notes

  • Bring any X-rays or CT scans you already have; it saves a scan and a day.
  • Tell the clinic about medications, allergies and chronic conditions, especially anything affecting bone.
  • Do not fly home the day after surgery. Leave at least one buffer day.
  • Get the written treatment summary and copies of your imaging before you leave.
