How to read these numbers: "Typical abroad" figures are rough public ranges for the US, UK and Australia. Your local quote is the only comparison that matters — send it to us and we will tell you honestly whether the trip is worth it.
Prices are indicative ranges for guidance only. The final price is confirmed in writing by the clinic after an examination, before any treatment starts.

Why the price is lower — and where it is not

The gap comes from lab costs, staff costs and overhead, not from a different tooth. A zirconia crown is a zirconia crown. What varies between clinics is the material brand, the lab they use, and how much of the work is done by a specialist rather than a general dentist.

  • Implants: the fixture brand is the biggest single variable. Ask for the brand and model on the quote.
  • Crowns: zirconia versus porcelain-fused-to-metal is a real quality difference, not a price trick.
  • Orthodontics: most of the cost is the appliance and the number of visits, not the country.
  • Grafting: often the surprise line item. If bone is thin, expect a separate quote and extra healing time.

How payment usually works

  1. You get an itemised quote in writing before treatment.
  2. Payment is made to the clinic, not to us — usually per stage rather than all up front.
  3. Mobile payment linked to an international card is the easiest route; cash and cards also work at larger clinics.
  4. Ask for receipts and a copy of your records before you leave the country.

What changes your final quote

SituationEffect on price and time
Healthy gums, good boneStraightforward; the quoted package price usually holds.
Untreated gum diseaseNeeds hygiene or periodontal treatment first; adds a visit and a cost line.
Thin bone at the implant siteGrafting or a sinus lift adds ¥1,500–12,000 and months of healing.
Heavy grindingA night guard afterwards protects the new work — budget ¥600–2,000.
Old work that needs removingRemoval and re-preparation, quoted case by case.
Complex full-mouth casesStaged over two or three trips; ask for a written staged plan and price.
