Root Canal in Guangzhou
Root canal treatment is the alternative to extraction. Done properly — with isolation, magnification and a sealed filling — it saves a tooth that would otherwise be lost, often in one or two visits.
Is this right for you?
Usually suitable
- Deep decay or infection that has reached the nerve
- Persistent toothache or a tooth that cannot take pressure
- An abscess or a dark shadow on an X-ray
- Saving a tooth before making a crown
Needs a different plan first
- A root that is fractured vertically — that tooth usually has to go
- Teeth with too little healthy structure left (discuss extraction and an implant)
- Sometimes the alternative is extraction, and that is a legitimate choice
What the package includes
- Diagnosis and X-rays
- Cleaning, shaping and sealing the root canals
- A permanent filling over the root canal
- A follow-up check (a crown is normally quoted separately)
Anything not on that list should be itemised separately on your quote. If a clinic will not put the inclusions in writing, that is a reason to walk away — see how to verify a clinic.
Stages and timing
Diagnosis
X-ray or CBCT, pulp tests, a written plan and price.
Cleaning
One or two visits under isolation with magnification.
Sealing & crown
The canal is sealed; a crown protects the tooth — same trip if time allows.
Trip planning: A single-rooted front tooth is often finished in one visit; molars may need two.
Costs that change the number
- How much work is needed before the main treatment — hygiene, decay, extractions.
- Materials and brands: cheaper systems versus premium imported ones.
- Whether bone grafting or a sinus lift is required.
- Whether anything has to be redone from previous work elsewhere.
